Brigadier Mary Louise Zook Sharp, 88, Indianapolis, went home to be with Jesus on June 18, 2006 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born January 17, 1918 in Wabash, Indiana, and resided in Indianapolis, Indiana. She lived in Indianapolis for the last 19 years. She was a Salvation Army Officer and Ordained Minister. She was a 1935 graduate of Anderson High School. She was a member of The Salvation Army and was a graduate of The Salvation Army College for Officers Training in Chicago, Illinois. She served in The Salvation Army for 35 years with her spouse as officers in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Michigan retiring in 1974. She then worked 12 years for The Salvation Army in the Hammond/Munster, Indiana area as secretary and social worker.
She is survived by her husband whom she married January 10, 1941: Brigadier Rodney B. Sharp. Daughter: Linda Louise Sharp of Indianapolis. Sister: Anna Marguerite Farmer of Middletown. Several nieces & nephews including: nieces, Patricia Rose and Carol & husband Les Jorgensen, both of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Amos & Florence Margie Maser Zook. Sister: Dorothy & husband William Lloyd Rose, who was a lifelong friend of Mary & Rodney. Brother: Russell and wife Haroldyne Zook.
