Mrs. Bridget “Bridgie” Inglese, age 92, of Orange, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Nara Aveni, she was born on February 11, 1917, in Shelton,CT. Bridgie as she was so affectionately known to all was a retired seamstress for many years. She also worked as a waitress at Consiglio’s Restaurant in New Haven for many years and Ann Brodie’s Bridal Shop where did alterations.
Survivors include her daughter Theresa Tuttle and her husband William of Orange, two grandchildren Francine (Joseph) Stanio of North Branford, and William Tuttle Jr of Woodbridge, two great-grandchildren Christopher and Stephen Stanio; a step-son Andrew (Jean) Inglese of East Haven, step-daughter Lynette (Thomas) Carr of Ohio, five step-grandchildren Arthur (Mary) Inglese, John (Christine) Inglese, Mary Ellen (Neil) Astorino, Brian (Shelley) Carr, and Beth (Kevin) Campbell, eight step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Rose Ronci of Florida and a brother Carlyle Aveni of Ansonia, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved 1st husband Frank A. Corniello and her beloved 2nd husband Arthur C. Inglese and five brothers John, James, Pasquale, Anthony and Joseph Aveni.
