Bridget A. Madison, 61, of Freeport, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Presence St Joseph Nursing Center with her family by her side. Born February 3, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri she was the daughter of Thomas G. and Harriet R. (Burdette) Butler.
She married Gary Madison on March 20, 1976. Bridget graduated from Freeport School of Nursing. She committed herself to Nursing and helping others. She was retired from Family Medical Center in Freeport. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Illinois Nurses Association, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Freeport Eagles. An avid reader she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband Gary of Freeport; her children, Eric P. Madison of Freeport, Jon T. (Wendy) Madison of Rockford, Katherine M. (Berin) Jackson of Freeport, and Elizabeth A. Madison of Chicago; two grandchildren, Brayden H. and Harper A. Jackson of Freeport; her sister, Colleen (Scott) Anderson of Freeport; her brother, Shawn (Brenda) Butler of Rockford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Kevin Butler; nieces, Kristen and Hillary Anderson. Cremation rites have been accorded.
