Bridges Tyson “Buck” Alderman was born in Valdosta, Ga. on April 22, 1930. He was a true Georgia boy with southern expressions that would keep you in stitches. “Old as dirt” was one that had many variations, but many others just came in the course of conversations. He could cast a lure in snook fishing so close to the mangroves that a laser could not have competed and the fish had no chance. In all the time of his wonderful life, he never used his real name, so Buck or BT was his call sign. His other love of Georgia was a person called Lewis Grizzard, who epitomized the southern way of life.
