Brian Lonzo Samples was born on July 17, 1976 to the union of Alvin and Patsy Samples in Buford, Georgia and entered his home in heaven on July 6, 2019. He lived big and loved even bigger. He had a grand personality and dreams to match.

Always the life of the party, Brian was sure to bring laughter to every room. An avid and skilled carpenter, he built and remodeled many beautiful homes and crafted other charming pieces that his family will always cherish. Brian always championed the underdog and lived his life with passion and fervor. He delighted in his children and especially his grandson, Eli. Brian expressed himself in the music he made and the lyrics he penned with his heart.

Our family is deeply impacted by the tragedy of Brian’s death. As we have gone through this difficult time, we are grateful to see that faith, hope and love have been the response. The Lord wastes nothing. He will bring beauty for the ashes (Isaiah 61:3). The joy of our faith is that Brian is alive in the presence of God.

Brian is proceeded in death by his father, Alvin Lonzo Samples.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Patsy Samples (Emory) of Cumming, Georgia; children, Brianna Leigh Clark (Thomas) of Tallapoosa, Robert Allen Samples of Lawrenceville, and Hailey Sharee Samples of Buford; a grandson who was the joy of his heart – Elijah Thomas Clark; many siblings – Lori Samples Duncan (Trent) of Columbia, SC, Elaine Samples of Atlanta, Blake Samples of Jasper, Douglas Samples (Rynell) of Jefferson, Peggy Green (Lamar) and Reda Grissom (Brandy) of Buford, Billy Samples (Brenda) of Talking Rock; Ann Hulsey (Joe) of Jasper, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
