Brian Brooks, son of Bernice and Rodney Dobson was born on December 11, 1971 in Wilmington, DE. He departed this life on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Easton Memorial Hospital at the age of 43 after a lengthy illness.
Brian received his education in the public schools of Caroline County. He graduated in 1990 from North Caroline High school. “Doodleman” as he was affectionately called by family and friends worked at several jobs around the area.
Brian was a loving father to his three daughters. Brian leaves to mourn his loss, three daughters; Brodashia Brooks (Bo) of Tampa, FL, LaTashia Belin (CoCo) of Hurlock, MD and Alexis Brooks of Cordova, MD, two sisters; Tamya Brooks (Mike) of Philadelphia, PA, and Erica Williams of Wilmington, DE, two brothers;
Rodney Brooks (Kim) of Cambridge, MD and Rondale Swanson of Wilmington, DE. Brian also has four great aunts, Edna Walker, Gladys Paskins, Delores Freeman, and Elsie Henry all of Wilmington, DE. Brian has six uncles, Larry Brooks,
Norman Bordley, Eugene, Michael, Darien Dobson all of Wilmington, DE and Melvin Dobson of Ridgely, MD. Brian has thirteen aunts to mourn his loss, Ida Bordley, Donnalee Bordley, Gladys Brooks, Shirley Brooks, Joyce Bond, Bernette Parker, Viola Grooms all of Wilmington, DE, Shirley Dobson of Chester, PA, Martina Bethea of Camden, NJ, Janie Ricketts, Sandy Pitts, Florence Dobson Gonzalez of Ridgely, MD and Sylvia Dobson of Glenn Mills, MD. Brian was a friendly person to all that knew him. He would do whatever he could to help when asked by anyone. Brian also leaves a host of cousins and friends.
He will be missed by all.
