Brian Swanson of Richfield passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 42.
Brian Joseph Swanson was born September 26, 1980 to Mark Swanson and Christina Tacheny in Rush City, Minnesota.
Brian attended Pine City Schools and lived in both Pine City and Rush City during his childhood years.
In 2012, Brian married Jennifer Lipinski in Blaine. They settled in Richfield with Jennifer’s daughter and Brian’s four children and a dog named Buster. Buster eventually became Brian’s best friend.
Brian entered the workforce at age 16 with his uncle Harlan building fences and this opened a lifelong career in construction. Brian and Jennifer opened the E-Cig One Stop Vape Shop in Bloomington.
In his spare time, you could find Brian on the golf course “living his best life”.
Brian enjoyed traveling with his friends and family as well. He loved to bring his children on vacation with him.
Brian was a wonderful father, making sure his children never went without. He was also a loving brother, son, uncle and friend. He loved his nieces and nephews, often inviting them over to his house for bon fires or a trip to Grand Slam or Dave & Busters. He treated all his nieces and nephew as if they were his own children and was so proud when they would succeed. He was their “number one director” in this thing we call life.
Brian is survived by his wife Jennifer Swanson; children Elle Swanson, Mariah Iverson, Tyrah Iverson, Braedyn Swanson, Alexis Schreiber; mother Christina Tacheny; siblings Jessica (Chad) Briski, April Tacheny (Chris Shellito); grandparents Curt and Cathy Swanson; godmother Carolyn Antrobus; godfather Bill Tachney; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Mark Swanson; grandparents Arthur and Betty Tacheny; cousins Allen Hagman, Annie Hagman; best friend Justin Root.
