With a heavy heart we announce that Brian Gus Marker has passed from this life into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. Brian Gus Marker was born in Lubbock, Texas to Gus Marker and Carmen Salgado Marker on October 18, 1986 and passed away on August 23, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he had lived for four years. Brian grew up in Alamogordo, NM and attended school at Holloman Air force Base from kindergarten to eighth grade and graduated from Alamogordo High School in 2005. He attended NMSU/A and NMJC. In 2006 he moved to Hobbs with his parents. He attended NMJC and received his OSHA instructor certification and worked as a safety instructor with his father, his best friend. He was known for his quick wit, quirky sense of humor, his kind and compassionate spirit. He had a heart of gold he loved everyone and always found the good in everyone he met, therefore always making friends wherever he went. He had an adventurous side and traveled to all 50 states except Florida and Hawaii. He also traveled to Canada and lived in Montreal, Canada for a year. Brian was very artistic and a musically gifted young man.
He is survived by his parents Gus and Carmen Marker of Hobbs, The love of his life, Nicole Yoanidis, his brother Chris Marker and wife Alyssa and their children Jordan and Aurora, his sister Erica Pilkilton and her daughter Sophie all of San Antonio, Texas. His grandparents Ted and Irene Salgado, of Hobbs. His aunts and uncles; Larry and wife Maria Salgado of Albuquerque, Freddie and wife Leanne Salgado of Hobbs, Lolly and husband John Abney of Midland, Patty and husband Paul Otero of Albuquerque, Marilayne and husband Bruce Millwood of Odessa, Vickie Lee of Lubbock. He also leaves behind his beloved cousins Meagan Salgado Walton and husband Edward, Myla Gutierrez Winter and husband Andrew and their daughters Madison and Amelia Grace Winter, Ashton Ammons, Bryce Gutierrez, Gabe Salgado, Robert Salgado, Jonathan Salgado, Raphael Salgado, Andrew Salgado, Sara Beth Millwood and Chad Lee, Johnnie Newton, Toby Gus Laijas, Nora Linda Guzman, Matthew Cleveland; as well as many great aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bob Marker, Barbara Province Daniel and Jerry Don Daniel, his aunts Jan Laijas and Robbie Morrison.
