Brett Allen McCulloch, 35, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born Dec. 20, 1978, in Bakersfield, CA, the son of Gary Allen and Karla Fizer McCulloch. He married January “Jade” Littig on Oct. 19, 2002, in St. Charles, MO, and she survives.
He is also survived by his sons, Brock Edward McCulloch and Brant Scott “Rudy” McCulloch, both at home; his parents, Gary and Karla McCulloch of Higginsville, MO; his brother, Justin (wife, Jeri) McCulloch of Camden; and his paternal grandmother, Josephine McCulloch of Higginsville, MO.
Mr. McCulloch was a 2002 graduate of Central Missouri State University. He was the owner/operator of McCulloch Home Solutions & Construction in the Jacksonville area for several years. He was a member of the Jacksonville Elks Club and Jacksonville Moose Lodge. One of his passions was raising, grooming, and showing cattle, and he and his brother had won many awards throughout the country doing so. Brett enjoyed BBQ competitions and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed keeping active with Jacksonville Area Baseball (JAB) and the 4-H Club with his boys.
