Whitley passed away in his home March 12th, 2019. He was 36 years old. He is survived by his brother Jesse Whitley, cousins the Stevenson, Garr and Greely families. He was proceeded in death by his mother Nancy S. Whitley, father Robert J. Whitley, uncle John C. Stevenson, and grandparents Winifred and Ronald Deitrich.
Bret was born on October 21st, 1982 in Flagstaff, AZ, to loving parents Nancy (Stevenson) and Robert Whitley. He lived in Flagstaff most of his life, graduating from Coconono High School in 2001.
Bret held many job titles throughout his work experience, most notably a loan officer at AZ Central Credit Union and as a sporting goods associate at CAL Ranch Stores. He also lived and worked with his uncle John C. Stevenson for several years. While living in Tucson, Bret also achieved one of his proudest accomplishments by training and competing in Mixed Martial Arts.
Bret absolutely loved the Dallas Cowboys and a cold beer or two with friends. He enjoyed interacting with people and was a friend who touched the lives of many. Bret you were loved and will be missed dearly.
