Brent is survived by his son Blake (Brittney) Barrick, his daughter, Morgan Barrick, his grandson Bryson Barrick, all of Scottsdale, AZ, his father, William (Helen) Barrick of Peoria, IL, his brother, Greg (Teresa) Barrick of Wixom, MI, his sister, Debra (Eric) Uttenweiler of Roselle, IL, nieces, Jennifer (Nik) Fulbright of Royal Oak, MI, and Rachel (Matt) Stoughton of Elk Grove, IL, nephew, Douglas Barrick of Chicago, IL, and great nephews and niece, Jake, Ellie, and Jack Stoughton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Melba Gaul.
Brent attended Peoria Public Schools, graduating from Richwoods High School in 1979. He then attended Arizona State University, graduating with a double major in Accounting and Computer Sciences in 1983. After college Brent worked for Arthur Andersen Consulting for several years. He then became a self-employed consultant.
Brent enjoyed sports of all kinds. He played baseball while attending Richwoods High School and was on a team that got second in State.
