Brent Allen Briscoe, 56 of Riverside, CA, died October 18, 2017, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Brent was born May 24, 1961, in Moberly, to Carl and Alice Jean (Goon) Briscoe.
He graduated from Moberly High School and attended the University of Missouri and began working in theater. He then began screenwriting and acting, moving to Los Angeles after working with Billy Bob Thornton on the 1997 award-winning film “Sling Blade”.
Brent was an accomplished writer on “Evening Shade” and the films “The Right to Remain Silent” and “Waking Up In Reno”. He was also a very accomplished character actor and can be seen in films as “A Simple Plan”, “Sling Blade”, “The Green Mile”, “Small Town Saturday Night”, and many others. He had been working on “Twin Peaks”, prior to his death.
Survivors include his father, Carl Briscoe of Moberly, a brother Kent Briscoe and wife Kelly of Troy, MO, a sister Shelly Briscoe West and husband David of Westin, CT, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Alice.
