Ms. Brenday Kaye Johnson “BJ” 56, of 438 Dudley St. transitioned on October 2, 2017 at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
She was born the daughter of Velma Cates Farrish and was raised by her loving parents Claven “Jack” Johnson and Grace Edith Gattis Johnson all deceased. She was a 1979 graduate of Williams High School and was a Paternal Data Entry clerk with LabCorp of America.
Survivors include her daughters: Yondi Johnson and Iman Johnson; 5 grandchildren: Imari, Keenan, Nasir, Ian and Kalia and two brothers: Russell Cates (Cherry) and Zane Farrish.
