Brenda Sue Dowell Wice, 61, Anderson, passed away peacefully at St. John’s Health System, Sunday, October 16, 2011 with her husband, Robert and nephew, Daniel Franks at her bedside.
She was born February 14, 1950, in Bristol, Virginia to Thomas “Doc” and May C. Dowell. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and copd, at the time of her death, she was cancer free. She was a pipe-fitter and belonged to Local #661 in Muncie, also helped with secretarial work and was a member of the United Christian Church in Anderson.
She enjoyed occasionally playing bingo and games on her computer, and also she enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Thomas Gentry Salyer, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Robert D Wice; son, Kevin G. Salyer wife, Monica, sisters; Sharon K. Pugsley husband, Everett, Roxanne Franks, and one brother, Thomas G. Dowell Greg, and many nieces and nephews, all of Anderson. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Carol D. Joni; brother-in-law, Daniel “Danny” of Muncie and her loving Mastiff dog, Abraham. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Troy Franks.
