She passed away in San Diego, California. She is the daughter of Rev. Floyd Brown and sister of Rev. Greg Brown and Rev. Floyd Kent Brown.
Brenda Sheila Brown was born on January 27, 1956 in San Diego, California to Floyd Brown, Jr. and Dorothy Mae Brown. Brenda attended Kit Carson Elementary School, Montgomery Jr. High School and received her High School Diploma from Kearny High School. Later in her life, Brenda continued her education at City College and received her Counseling Certification.
Brenda loved to sing, read, listen to music and spend time with her many family members and friends. She also loved to eat. Most of all she loved to be LOUD!!! Brenda had the ability to embrace life and get the most out of each day.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae and her grandmothers, Bessie Watts (Mamma Bessie) and Laura Flucas.
On September 1, 2013, Brenda Sheila Brown passed away in her sleep and is now resting with the Lord. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Eric McKinnon; her daughter, Tni Newhoff; her father, Floyd Brown, Jr.; three brothers, Kent Brown (Stephanie), Gregory Brown (Brenda Laster) and Eric Brown (Mary); one sister, Diane Hood; twelve grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews, Jason, Anya, Jordan, Joshua, Eric, Matthew, Jason, Joseph, Mark, Giavonna, Zane and Jadon; aunts and uncle, a host of cousins and other relatives who will mourn her passing, yet celebrate her life.
