On the night of Monday, 13 August 2018, Brenda Karen Schlegel (Delp), faithful wife of David P. Schlegel, was lifted to eternally glorify her Father in the presence of her parents Gordon Homer and Ora Belle Delp, and her son, Jeremy Michael Brandjes, who preceded her. Those she held closest in her heart surrounded her with adoration and love during her home going including her oldest daughter Tami and son-in-law Tim Nickel, her middle child Kelli D Brandjes, and each of her grandchildren that her sun rose on; Aleq Lewis, Kairen Brandjes and his wife Brittney Jackson-Brandjes, Elijah Sondhi, Jayati Sondhi, Kellina Bryant; Timothy, Tyler, Jami, Kati and Samantha Nickel, and her two great grandchildren, Aliyah and Elaina Lewis, as well as her gentle and kind sister-in-law, Suzanne.
After her retirement, she spent her time vacationing with her family in Florida and North Carolina, reclaiming her talent on the piano with classes, and investing time in her Kenwood Class of 1965 Committee work. Admittedly, she was very proud of and loved her grandchildren as her favorite people, but she also left behind 7 surviving cats that ran a close second!
