Brenda K. Craft, 84 of Newnan passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at her residence. She was born July 31, 1934 in Coweta County to the late C.L. Kempson and Willie Mae Ledford Kempson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Ed” Craft and brother, Terry Joe Kempson. Brenda was very active in her husband’s political career as well as in running their business, Craft Cleaners. She was well loved by her customers and made it a priority to get to know each one of them personally. She has spent a lifetime serving her family and community. She embraced her family and friends and loved life. She was involved with the Bridge Club, Member of Newnan First United Methodist Church, Sustaining Member of the Junior Service League, Pink Lady for Hospital Auxiliary, Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher and MYF Leader, Room Mother and PTA Leadership, and a Volunteer at Wesley Woods-Wedgewood Boutique. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Bob) Hunter, Christy (Jerry) Kelley, Cathy (Kim) Duncan and Jimmy (Polly) Craft; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Dunn, Johnathan (Jaime) Hambrick, Jay (Manda) Kelley, Katie (Jeremy) Capshaw, Carley (fiancé-Dillion) Craft and Trevor Craft; great-grandchildren, Gage Kelly, Jackson Dunn, Walker Dunn and Bennett Capshaw; sister-in-law, Faye Kempson; niece, Rhonda Ray; special friends, Melvin Holloway and Alan Holloway.
