Brenda Joyce Grayson Buxton

was born on January 28, 1957 in Bashi, Alabama to Napoleon Bob Grayson and Margaret Marie Grayson of Morvin, AL.  She was a native of Morvin, AL and a resident of Boston, Massachusetts.

 

Brenda Joyce Grayson Buxton, fondly known as “Susie” age 64, transitioned in peace on August 14, 2021. She accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Givenland CME Zion Church and attended the Lutheran School of Bashi, AL.

 

Susie was an amazing woman who dedicated her life to caring for others through her work in Human Services and spent time looking out for family and friends. 

 

In her earlier years, Susie enjoyed doing hair, if you ever needed a curly hair do, she was the one to call.  She also enjoyed cooking, dancing, socializing, spending quality time with her family and friends and met their needs. Susie went above and beyond.

 

Preceded in death by her father, Mr. Napoleon Bob Grayson; her husband: Eddie Joe Buxton of Morvin, Alabama  and her brother: Calvin L. Grayson.

 

She is survived by three sons: William D. Grayson, Deshawn Willhite  Grayson and Calvin Lee Grayson all of Boston Massachusetts; her siblings: James Earl Grayson, Morvin, Alabama, Glenda J. Grayson, Minnie M. Grayson, Deborah Grayson and James Matthew Grayson, all of  Boston, Massachusetts, Hattie M. (Arsbon) Johnson, Whatley, Alabama, Rhonda (Oscar) Thompson of Thomasville, Alabama, Betty (Jessie) Johnson and Travis Grayson both of Butler Alabama; three grandsons: Ezekiel K. Grayson, William Grayson and Kashmir D. Grayson; four close god children: Priscilla Stolks, Jermaine Robinson, Regina Robinson and Monique Wilson; three close friends: Shawanda Heart, Dorothy Cotton and Sheilann Williams; many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. 

 

Susie’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. She was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.
