SALEM – Salem – Brenda Jean Hawkins, age 80, died 11:50 P.M. Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Roush) Hawkins.
Brenda spent her entire life working in the automotive business, the past 21 years in the office of Stratton Chevrolet and previously office manager at Zimmerman Auto sales.
Brenda was an active lifetime member of Winona United Methodist Church, participating as organist, choir member, and serving in various other roles. She loved her church family. A 1957 graduate of Salem High School, she enjoyed bowling, card clubs, BINGO, Mah Jongg, and watching the Indians and Browns.
Survivors include her sister, Joyce (Larry) Jensen (Salem) and brother, Francis “Bud” (Jeanne) Hawkins (Charlotte, NC).
