Brenda Jane Johnson, 75, of Belton, TX, formally of Brenham and San Leon, TX, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2020.

Brenda was born to Ray and Vedia Dougherty in Greenville, TX. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Aubrey Johnson; her daughter Jeanna Pelliccia of Denver, CO; her son John Belmont of Seattle, WA; and stepson Captain Beau Johnson of League City, TX.  She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren T.J. and Brett Lewis of Austin, TX, and McKenzie Lewis of Somerville, MA.

Brenda was a 1963 graduate of John H. Reagan HS in Houston and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 and a Master of Science degree in 1997. Both degrees were in counseling from The University of Houston-Clear Lake. She has been a licensed professional counselor since 1999.  She had successful private practices in Kemah, Brenham, and Belton, TX.  Prior to her counseling career Brenda was a lease analyst and managed a private professional oil and gas library in Houston.

Brenda was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham and First United Episcopal Church of Belton.
