Brenda “Gale” Starnes, age 71, of 997 Alabama St. Kannapolis, NC, passed away peacefully at home December 26, 2021 surrounded by her children and listening to Beulah Land. She was born on November 30, 1950 in Amarillo Texas to the late William and Wilma McClesky. Gale was married to the love of her life Charles “Tommy” Starnes, “Chub” to Gale, in 1969 who preceded her in death in 2006.
Gale was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She cared deeply for all her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of simply who she was. She was always the first to offer help to someone in need. Gale loved sharing her hobbies of crocheting and puzzles with her children and grandchildren. She would just beam with love when they would join her. Gale’s unwavering faith in God helped her stay strong until he reached out His hand to her to take her home.
Gale is survived by her son and wife Darrin and Kelly Starnes, son Chris “Critter” Starnes and daughter Tonya “Tina” Starnes. Gale was blessed with several grandchildren; Cole and Ashley Galusha, Gavin, Noah, Tyler, Anniston and Peyton. Gale’s blessings continued with her great-grandangels Dailaney, Ember and Grayson.
Gale is also survived by brother Ronnie, sister-in-law Debbie and best friend Darlene. Preceded in death by twin brother Dale and sister Patsy.
