On Thursday, February 4th 2016, a precious Jewel, was removed from our midst, Brenda Henry departed this life at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh NC.
Brenda was born in Wayne County on March 9th 1959 to the Late Elnoria Baggett and Winston Baggett.
She attended Sampson County Public Schools and was able to earn her high school diploma. She worked on her family farm in her early years and later on in life she worked for several years at Mt Olive Pickle Plant of Mt Olive NC.
Her mother, Elnora, raised her in the church and she was able to retain the knowledge of what knowing the Word of God can and will do in her life. She pulled from this knowledge during some very difficult times in her life and was able to conquer and obtained victory over her life. God graced her with another year of life to enjoy her family especially her granddaughter “Lani” and to see her grandson being born, after the doctor’s gave her the diagnosis of lung cancer in Jan 2015.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Nicole Henry (Koji Streeter), one granddaughter Nalani and one grandson Elijah; 1 niece Shanita Fryar, 2 nephews Dwayne Fryar and Bruce Fryar; 2 great nieces Quameisha and Yatazia; 2 great nephews Yaheim and Tyshown; 2 maternal aunts Luree Jackson and Georgia Mae Faison; 1 maternal uncle Milton Jackson (Larlene); 3 paternal aunts Essie Beamon, Edna Underwood, Hazel Barden; 1 paternal uncle James Baggett (Bud) and a host of cousins and close friends of the family.
