Brandon Lee Franklin, 36, passed away on January 18, 2022. He was born in Durham on January 9, 1986 to Lee Corey Franklin and Eleanor Franklin whom survive him.
Brandon was very family oriented with a fighter’s heart. He was a risk taker. Brandon believed that with no risk in life there will be no reward and his reasons to live were his reasons to die. He made the best out of every situation with the hardest trials given in life. Around Brandon, you were guaranteed to laugh. He always kept a smile on your face. Brandon was an avid Carolina fan. He stood strong in what he believed in, which was standing up for his family and being a loving father to his children. Everyone loved Brandon. He will be missed but never forgotten. The ones that love Brandon have enough memories to last forever.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, W. Lentz Franklin; maternal grandfather, Alfred “Sonny” Hurley, Sr.; maternal grandmother, N. Marie Wood; and special aunts, Wanda H. Cothern and Gina Hurly Jinks
Brandon is survived by his mother, Eleanor Franklin; his father, Lee Corey Franklin; his children, Brianna and Brandon Franklin; his brother, Lee Corey Franklin, Jr. and Jesse Franklin (Samantha); his sister, Spring Sutton (Keith); his grandmothers, Barbara Garret and Judy Franklin; his nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Kameron, Konner, Reese, Joshua, Jessica; the mother of his children, Tracey Elliot; his aunt, Tammy-Hurley Nichols; and his uncles, Craig Franklin and Alfred Hurley (Sonny).
