Brandon David Sjoblom

Brandon David Sjoblom, age 35, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, October 2, 2016, in Ogden, Utah. He was born April 7, 1981, in Ogden, to David L. and Beth W. Sjoblom. The loss of this amazing, funny, smart, crazy, kind and gentle dad, brother, son, friend breaks our hearts, but we know Brandon is at peace now and is able to spend unlimited time with his beautiful daughters, his family, his friends, and anyone else he might like to pester in that crazy Brandon way.

Brandon graduated from Weber High School in North Ogden, Utah, and attended Weber State University. He married Meghann Stromberg in November 2001; they later divorced. His greatest accomplishment in life is his three beautiful daughters: Scotland, age 11, Sweden, age 8, and Italee, age 5. His daughters mean everything to Brandon. He spent many hours showing his love for them and he would do anything for them.

Brandon had the opportunity to race mountain bikes for several years. He and his dad and friends traveled to many races and created wonderful memories. He placed at the top in many races. For years, he ate, drank and slept mountain biking. He had many outstanding friends, as well as his dad, that rode with him. Brandon loved this time of his life. He also had many other friends that just loved “Sjob.” One of the memories shared about him was that he was “the life and light” of the party. He had a beautiful smile which was always on his face.

Brandon worked in the information technology industry. He had a brilliant mind and was constantly researching various topics. He had an answer for most questions, and if he didn’t, he would find it. He was loved by everyone that was fortunate enough to get to know him. He was fun, funny, and crazy. He was also extremely sensitive and had the ability to understand and help his friends and family through difficult situations. He was always teasing his sisters, but he also loved them very much and was their greatest protector. From the time of his birth, he was good and kind to his parents and he was an absolute joy to raise and spend time with. He was able to talk with and get to know people of various ages, and his parents were told by many how much they truly enjoyed Brandon.
Brandon was a great example to many. He was someone who was admired, and who inspired. Brandon has left a lasting imprint on the lives of all those who were lucky enough to know him. In a word, Brandon was – and will always be – outstanding.

He is survived by his beautiful daughters; his parents; his siblings Carly (Morgan) Nielson, Bailey Sjoblom; and his grandparents Wallace and Margaret Sjoblom.
