Sadly, on January 4, 2022, Brandon Christopher Kalwa passed at Baltimore Washington Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was 31.  

Born the son of Christopher and Erica Theresa (nee Dooley) Kalwa, he lived his life in Northern Anne Arundel.  Brandon was a Ravens and Orioles fan and had been a Boy Scout.  He was a “big” Back to the Future fan and was passionate about Anime’, Sonic the Hedgehog, Poke’mon and Dragonball-Z among his favorites.  He was also an associate member of Hog’s and Heros where he was known as “Red”.

Brandon was afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy and though he suffered with this debilitating disease, he lived life to the fullest.  He and his brother were Ambassadors for the Annapolis Forest Tall Cedars, a masonic order supporting Muscular Dystrophy.  

Surviving him are his devoted parents, Christopher and Erica Kalwa, his loving brother Dalton Michael Kalwa,  and beloved grandfathers Gilbert E. Dooley and Daniel Hicks.  He joins in passing his grandparents, Rosalie Dooley, Joseph and Susan Kalwa and Madeline Hicks as well as great grandmother “Nanny” Louise Mellas, Mary Kalwa and Mary McGee.  Brandon will be dearly missed by his aunts and uncles,  Terri and Joe Bush, “aunt Mary”, aunt Sharon  and uncle Scott Kohne and great aunt Lynn  and uncle Alec Greenway and  great aunt Cenith Shuffle.  He is united with uncle Bobby Coffee in passing.  Brandon’s memory will be cherished by his cousins, Lindsey Sullivan, Casey Stone, Lexus Kalwa, Christy McClaren, Emma Stull, Chucky Coffee and Sharon Lippy and great cousin Drew Greenway.  Brandon is reunited with his pet hedgehog, “Roscoe,” who preceded him.
