Bradley Reed Gilman, 62, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his home in Boise, Idaho surrounded by his family. Brad had been battling cancer for more than two years.

 

Brad was born in Minnesota and spent his childhood on the family farm where he developed a love for horses. He graduated from Edgerton Christian School and moved to California shortly afterwards. In 1972, Brad was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. Upon his return stateside, he married the love of his life, Mary Ribbens. Together they had two daughters, Nichole and Stephanie. Brad and his family moved to Idaho in 1990.

 

Brad is survived by his wife, Mary of Boise, his two daughters Nichole Wulf (John) of Nampa, ID and Stephanie Lotridge (Greg) of Meridian, ID, and his two grandchildren, Freedom Ault and Marcus Wulf. He is also survived by his siblings, Harriet Talsma (Jim) of MN, John Gilman (Jean) of CA, Dean Gilman (Evie) of MN, Cathy Winterfeld (Terry) of IA, Burton Gilman (Sharyl) of MN, and Todd Gilman (Kathy) of MN.  Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alberta Gilman and two of his sisters, Darlene Gilman and Jane Edens.

 

The family would like to thank Heart and Home Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and support during Brad’s difficult fight with cancer. They have been a true blessing and comfort.
