WINSTEDREYNOLDS – Bradford Wesley Reynolds, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 2, 2021 at his home. Born April 26, 1962 in Newport, RI; the son of Cecily (Allen) Mermann of Norfolk and the late David Wesley Reynolds. Brad grew up in Guilford. After graduating from the Hammonassett School, he went on to study at the Rhode Island School of Design. With this training and his artistic gifts, he worked as a talented boat builder, craftsman, and skilled carpenter in CA, WI, FL and RI. After he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010, he moved back to CT to be closer to family and to seek treatment. Though his health was compromised, he continued working as a handyman and carpenter. Brad enjoyed outdoor sports especially sailing, hiking and skiing. He loved caring for plants and animals, tinkering, playing and listening to music, photography and being with his family and long-time companion, Jo-Ann. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters and their families, Andrea Reynolds (MA), her husband Tony Pettinato, and son David and Cameron Reynolds Hardy (NY), her husband Bill and children, Heather, Chris, Devin, and Lena and his companion, Jo-Ann Showl of Winsted. He was predeceased by his father, David Reynolds.
