Boyd K. Reynolds, age 68, local pharmacist, died at his home on July 8, 2011. He was born March 31, 1943, to the late Boyd and Olga Lee Holder Reynolds. He graduated from Tyner High School in 1962 and Sanford University in Birmingham in 1967 where he was president of the university’s chapter of the American Pharmaceutical Association and member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity. Boyd was retired from Erlanger Medical Center and worked at Red Food and Bi-Lo companies along with Winn Dixie in East Ridge and East Brainerd. Boyd and his wife, Pat owned and operated Apple Estate Sales, a local estate liquidation company for over 27 years. Boyd was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the challenge of a turkey hunt, but loved the time doing these activities with his friends even more. He was a member of the Chattanooga Rifle Club and loved building and shooting muzzle loaders. Boyd was a strong supporter of organ donarship, and would speak out and encourage everyone to sign their license and let your family know your choice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Olga Lee Reynolds and his brother Dr. Gary L. Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sellers Reynolds and his Daughter Jennifer (Richey) Goldberg and his “best buddy” grandson, Taylor; brothers Don R. (Shirley) Reynolds and Jerry D. (Sheila) Reynolds, along with nieces Nikki (Tim) Tatum, Amy (Chris) Walker, Sarah Reynolds, and nephews Donnie (Deb) Reynolds, Billy Reynolds, Sam Reynolds, and their children. Boyd was also survived and preceded by many great friends whom he cherished and had memorable times with. To his friends, the family thanks you, for the great love and friendship you showed Boyd throughout the years. You are aces among kings.
