Holt Wilson Staples III (“Boots”) passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 12 after a courageous battle with cancer. Boots was born July 23, 1944 the son of the late Nancy (Peggy) Hodge Staples & Holt Wilson Staples Jr. He grew up in Crewe, VA.
Boots is survived by his wife Susan (Hall) Staples, a brother Robert (Bob) Staples (Carol), 2 sisters Julia (Kitty) Solomon & Donna Gholson.
Also surviving are 5 children. Holt W Staples IV (Cindy), James A Staples (Lisa), Angelia J Psaras (Sty), Brian A Staples (Jennifer) & Justin K Brightbill. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Jeremy Brightbill.
Boots was blessed with 9 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild. Will, Amanda, Caroline, Alison, Jay, Riley, Jake, Taylor, Ashton & Sarah whom his entire world revolved around. Memory making with the ‘grands’ was his favorite pastime.
