Bonnie Marie Wever, 86, of Bloomington went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born January 10, 1928 in Monroe County and was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Kinser) Bowlen. Bonnie was faithful to the Westside Assembly of God Church for many years.
She retired from Westinghouse/ABB after 28 years and had also worked at Big Lots for 10 years and Bloomington Convalescent Center. Survivors include her husband Dean B. Wever of Bloomington, 4 sons; Marlie Dallas (Lynne), Doug Edwards (Connie Edwards of Greenwood), James D. “Jim” Wever (Melodie Sue), and Bill Wever (Sandy) all of Bloomington, 9 grandchildren; Rhett Dallas (Sheri), Reid Dallas (Shannon), Craig B. Edwards, Brooke Michelle Edwards, Bruce Gale, Cory Wever, Jamie Wever, Taryn Martin (Cory) and Tyson Wever, 9 great grandchildren; Rayah Dallas, Logan Dallas, Ashlyn Dallas, Amery Dallas, Jackson Edwards, Noah Edwards, Jordan Wever, Shayla Gale and Hunter Gale.
Also surviving are 2 sisters; Norma Baugh and Brenda White and 2 brothers; Danny Bowlen and Don Bowlen all of Bloomington. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ruth VanPelt, Betty McCullough, Bill Bowlen, Mike Bowlen, and James Bowlen.
