Mrs. Bonnie Sue Wogoman, 66, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 7:30 pm at Golden Living Center in Elkhart. She was born on January 13, 1954 in Bluefield, WV to the late Paul Lorenzo and Ailene Louise (Nunn) Woolwine.

Surviving is her son Kevin (Angie) Wogoman of Elkhart; sisters Brenda (Doug) McDaniel and Diane Hively, both of Elkhart; brother Duane (Aretha “Moonie”) Woolwine of Alabama; grandchildren Ben (Angel) and Kennedy Wills and great grandchildren Anthony and Liam Wills, all of Elkhart, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends; including a special niece Patrisha (Sandy Hibdon) Hivley of Elkhart, who was Bonnie’s “accomplice in crime” in anything not hereafter mentioned in this obituary. She is also survived by her companion Greg Winowiecki of Elkhart and her faithful and loving feather and fur buddies Mickey the Macaw and Jessie the Dachshund. It is rumored that Mickey knows too much about Trisha’s and Bonnie’s shenanigans and no one trusts him on staying quiet about any of it. Jessie apparently agrees.

Bonnie worked at the McCoy-Miller ambulance production plant in Elkhart for over 15 years but will be best remembered for her outgoing and uplifting personality which made her many friends. She absolutely loved going out to eat with family or friends, and if that took place on a day where she was also free to saunder around to shop and browse, she would be in “seventh heaven”. One of her most favorite activities would be to attend the Friday night fish fry down at the VFW #88 on Bristol Street in Elkhart. In fact, she was such a regular that they reserved a specific seat for her when she attended so she could sit up close to “people watch” and listen to the band. She was also an avid collector of unicorn and cow figurines and memorabilia.
