Bonnie L. Forney, 88, of Huntington, IN, passed away on March 26, 2021 at 5:04 p.m. at her residence.
Mrs. Forney was born on March 1, 1933, in Huntington, IN, to Ora and Grace (McBride) Young. Her parents preceded her in death. Bonnie was married to Donald Forney on December 7, 1962. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2001.
Mrs. Forney graduated from Huntington High School. She worked at Schact Rubber and Johnny’s Drive In during high school. She was a restaurant owner along with her husband. They owned Don’s Truck Stop, Warren, IN and the Sulky Restaurant in Huntington, IN. Bonnie was also the bookkeeper for Don’s Novelty. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #837 and a long- time supporter of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki (David) McElhaney, Huntington, IN; one sister, Jean Meyer, Huntington, IN and three granddaughters, Melissa McElhaney, Brittney McElhaney, and Stephanie McElhaney all of Huntington, IN.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, June Webber, Nancy Parker, and Betty Stahl.
