Bonnie Sorenson, 61, of Bartlett formerly of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates after a long three year battle with stage 4 cancer.
Bonnie was born December 7, 1950 in Morris to Earl and Martha (Eye) Herman. She was a graduate of Serena High School. She was an executive secretary for the Vice President at Safety Kleen and then later she was a medical billing specialist at American Billing. She married Curtis A. “Swede” Sorenson on May 27, 1995 in Schaumburg. She enjoyed making jewelry and was a Stamp It Up demonstrator.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis of Bartlett; one son, Michael Patrick (Gina) Fitzgerald of El Paso, Texas; one grandson and six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Ann (Floyd) Nelson of Seneca and Vicki Lucille (Leroy) Deegan of Ottawa.
