With broken hearts and sadness, the children and grandchildren of Bonnie Jean McFarland Manning share the news of her passing on August 20, 2021 in Ogden, Utah. Bonnie was the first-born child of Russell Tracy and Helen “Fae” Williamson McFarland on March 19, 1937. Four brothers and a sister soon followed.

They spent their childhood living in Wilson Lane. They lived next door to their grandparents and spent lots of time with them.  As a teenager they moved to Ogden Utah. She attended Ogden High School where she met her future husband Stanley Manning, they later divorced. She worked at Farr’s Ice Cream through college to pay her tuition at Weber State.

The most important thing to her was being a mom, she would do anything for her children and grandchildren. She lived for and would sacrifice anything for them, and she did. While being a mom she gained a great sense of humor and much patience while raising her family (especially Wendi).

Bonnie enjoyed hiking and fishing and took Mark often when he was younger. She loved horses and shared the horse life with Wendi, taking her and her horse to many events. Bonnie especially enjoyed her gold Mazda RX7 and racing up and down the canyon, and she and her family spent lots of time with the entire McFarland gang.

She was the kindest and most thoughtful person. Her grandchildren especially felt so special that she remembered their birthdays, special dates and phone numbers even as they changed. She remembered everyone special to her.  She was a natural beauty inside and out.

She is survived by her children; Mark S Manning, Wendi Jean (Chris) Rhodes; grandchildren; Tyler (Kenzi) Combe, Colter Combe, Wyatt (Lauren) Combe, Ashtin (Weston) Snyder, Jack Rhodes; great grandchildren; Skarlette, Evarett and Benjamin, sister Judy (Bob) Turgeon, sister in laws Frankie and Susan, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Kenneth McFarland, James (Melba) McFarland, Michael McFarland, John (Gerri) McFarland and nephew Brody McFarland.
