Bonnie Ann O’Leary, Major USAF Retired, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. She was born at Long Beach, California on June 23, 1922. Her parents were John Daniel O’Leary and Anna Norton O’Leary, both deceased. Her early schooling was spent in numerous schools where her father was stationed in the Marine Corps. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University, New York and spent the next few years in theater in New York City. She also worked in early live TV on the Robert Montgomery Presents and Pulitzer Prize Playhouse shows. In 1952, she was an early woman to enter the Air Force Officer’s Training in San Antonio, Texas. The next 20 years were spent in bases as public relations officer, including three tours in Germany. After retiring in 1972, she moved to Denver as her home base.
