Bonna Jean Duffey, 69, graduated to her Heavenly mansion to be with her Lord on July 2, 2012. She was born in Greeley, Colorado on January 5, 1943 to Herbert Foos and Esther Schneider. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1960 and attended two years of Business College. She met Otto Lynn Duffey at Lowry Air Force Base and they were married in Brighton on November 11, 1962.
As an Air Force wife, Bonnie lived in Okinawa, Florida, Missouri and Montana and then returned to Brighton in 1978 after Otto’s retirement. She worked for First Bank & Trust, United Bank and Norwest Bank for several years. She was recognized as Employee of the Year in 1986 and was awarded a trip to Hawaii. She then worked for Gaunt, Dirrim & Coover as a legal secretary until Judge Vincent Phelps began his judgeship at which time she went with him as his Court Clerk until 2004, when she retired.
