In the spring of 1961 the family moved to Stromsburg, Nebraska. Bonita graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1965.

She also did some typing, bookkeeping and secretarial work. She worked at the City of Stromsburg for almost 30 years as office clerk where she read meters for over 20 years.
Bonita enjoyed her many friends of all ages from the youngest to the oldest. She appreciated all the help and support they gave her. They were always there for her in her time of need.
