Bonita Kay Waggoner was born December 1, 1950, in Caldwell, Idaho. Bonita went to Heaven at the age of 71 on August 12, 2022, in Nampa, Idaho. 

Bonita was a loving wife, mother, sister, teacher, friend, and mentor.

She is preceded in death by her mother Alice M. Edson, father Frank E. Edson, her stepmother Helen Edson. 

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Wes Waggoner, her son Andy Waggoner his wife Jordan and their 5 children Reagan, Jack, London, Molly, and Mayzie, her daughter Christy Hinton her husband Lance and their 2 children Bryan and Alice, her stepbrothers Dean and Dennis Herod, and her loyal puppy, Belle.

Bonita spent her childhood in Nampa, Idaho where she attended Midway Elementary and then graduated from Vallivue High School. She went on to graduate from NNC (now NNU) with an Elementary Education degree. She went back to school later to earn her Early Childhood certification.

Bonita was a teacher for many years. She taught at a private school, daycare, special education preschool, and kindergarten. Most of her time was with the Nampa School District in the preschool program.

Bonita will always be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving woman. There was always someone she was helping. Many have said she was a prayer warrior, mentor, and had a heart of gold.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s Nampa Telemetry Unit for the wonderful care they provided Bonita and our Family during this very difficult time.
