Bonita “Bonnie” K. Whitaker died peacefully on June 9, 2008, at the Destin Health Care and Rehab Hospital where she had lived for the past two years. Born in Hopkinsville, KY on June 30, 1942, she lived many years in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Florida in 1970.
Bonnie worked at B & C Fire Safety for 15 years as a Secretary and enjoyed her “second family”. Bonnie was a 10 year survivor of Breast Cancer.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Jerry , her son Dan and brother Johnny Hill. She is survived by her two sons Andy and Mitchell; three Grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Trey Whitaker and Great Grandaugher Lexie; One Sister, Ginger Parker , six brothers; Jimmy, Gary, Tim, Greg, Ricky and Steve Hill.
The family would like to thank the Destin Health Care and Rehab Hospital for the wonderful care and love she received while she resided there.
