Bonnie Baker went home to be with her Lord and Alan, most likely to make sure Alan is working on his honey-do list that she surely gave him before his passing.
Bonalyn “Bonnie” Ball Baker, age 81, of Woodleaf, NC, passed away February,11th at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House with family by her side.
She was born July, 21st 1940 in Elmira, New York to the late Howard Ball and Lena Arlene Ball.
Bonnie intentionally worked for the Elmira Heights School District in the District office until retirement, so her children could never get in trouble without her knowing, sometimes even before they did.
Bonnie was an active member of The Arbor United Methodist Church.
Bonnie was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Alan T. Baker, brothers-in-law Harry Rodabaugh and Bruce Springfield, and her brother Howard Daniel Ball
Surviving are her three sons, who lived to adulthood despite their mother’s Bisquick pizza and ketchup sauced Spaghetti, William T. Baker and wife Jodi of Corpus Christi, TX, Jeffrey A. Baker and wife Kim of Statesville, NC, and Thomas H. Dalonzo-Baker and wife Sarah of Raleigh, NC; Sisters Marilee Rodabaugh and Mata (Al ) Wilkins, both of Horseheads, NY, sisters-in-law Suzanne Springfield of Salisbury, NC, and Margo Jensen of Horseheads, NY. Also surviving are her grandchildren (William/Jodi) Garrett William, Dustin, and Eliza Bellinger; (Jeffrey/Kim) Andie Rae Sloan, Emily Mann; (Thomas/Sarah) Amelia, Thomas, Anna Claire, Titus, Lindley Rose, and Sadie Dalonzo-Baker. Her latest canine companion Taco will miss her dearly.
She leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews, and far too many friends to count.
