Bobbye J. Hodges, 67 of Centralia, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at 3:10 PM at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia. Bobbye was born February 13, 1948 in Centralia, daughter of Audrey Lorene (Blackburn) Tucker.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Hodges and special friend, Kelly Johnston of Woodlawn; a daughter, Brenda Hodges and special friend Michael Bayles of Centralia; four grandchildren: Baby James, Dustin, Marky, Brittany and special friend Brandon; two great-grandbabies: Lilyana and Daisy Anna; a brother, Jerry Tucker of Centralia; two sisters: Margie Grubb of Centralia and Carolyn Schilling and husband Fred of Nevada; several nieces and nephews: Julie, Brandon, Pamela, Aries, Kevin, Tony, Brody, Derri Lynn, Erica, Bailey, Ariyah, Allen, Big Mark, and Matt; two best friends: Barbara Lahr of Bethalto and Ruby Hilton of Centralia; ex-husband, Rick Hodges of Edgewood; one uncle, Xon “Bud” Blackburn and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and her beloved in-laws: Velma and Clarence Hodges. Bobbye enjoyed collecting ceramics. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Card Games at Plaza Verde with all of her friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, her four-legged companion, Gigi and friends.
