Bobby Y. Pickard, 79, of Graham passed away at the Hospice Home on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 57 years to Betsy May Pickard, who survives and the son of John Dewey Pickard and Margaret York Pickard, both deceased. Mr. Pickard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from GKN. He was an avid golfer and he also worked at Southwick Golf Course. He was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Karen P. Liddle and husband Jimmy of Graham; a son, Gary Dean Pickard and wife Donna of Whitsett; five grandchildren, Jay Liddle, Christy Liddle, Brian Canada and wife Susan, Jeremy Watkins, and Heather Gerald and husband Donald; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Lib Roupe; and a brother, Richard Pickard.
Mr. Pickard was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Pickard and two brothers, Don Pickard and David Pickard.
