Bobby Thomason, 89, passed away in Hobbs, NM on August 14th, 2022.
Bobby was born on May 23rd, 1933, in Post, TX to Oliver and Ida Thomason. He married the love of his life Darlene (Bar) Thomason on February 23rd, 2008. Bobby worked many years in the oilfield for Moranco Drilling and retired from Zia Drill. In his earlier years he would enjoy playing outside with his many nieces and nephews, he also enjoyed going to the barn to feed his many animals and racehorses.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Ida Thomason, his sons: Roger Dale Thomason and Jimmy Don Thomason, his sisters: Claudine Cheek and Charlene Blush. Jonny Bess Clarkston, Anne Olene Powers, and Melba Edd Smith and one brother H.M. Thomason.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Darlene (Bar) Thomason of the home, his son Randy (Donna) Thomason, his granddaughters: Elizabeth Thomason, Kathrine Thomason, great granddaughter: Ruby Thomason, stepdaughters: Netalea (David) Miller, Mary Cooksey, five more granddaughters and ten great grandchildren.
