Bobby Lee Shoemaker, 69, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

He was born in Iredell County on December 12, 1942, the son of the late Paul Lee and Emma Lytton Shoemaker.

Bobby graduated from Troutman High School and was married on March 29, 1964 to Nancy Clodfelter Shoemaker who survives.

He worked as a pipe fitter and welder with Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 421.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Paul David Shoemaker of Troutman; a daughter, Sharon Shoemaker and husband, Chris Baker, of Miller Creek; a grandson, Colin Shoemaker of Troutman; his mother, Teresa Shoemaker of Asheville; two sisters, Carol Bell (Donald) of Nampa, Id and Renea Carrig (Daniel) of Granbury, Tx; two aunts, Janice Coley and husband, Tom, of Statesville and Mary Amick of Greensboro; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his very special pet, Lilly.
