Mr. Bobby L. Crowder, age 86, of Valley, AL, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Mr. Crowder is survived by his wife, Rebecca Crowder, two children, Bob Crowder and Mark (Phyllis) Crowder; seven grandchildren, Jacob Crowder, Leah Crowder Carr, Jennifer Crowder, Belinda Crowder, Anthony Crowder, Brian Crowder, and Ryan Crowder; thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Genelle Crowder; son, Phillip Crowder.
Mr. Crowder was born on October 27, 1927 in Langdale, AL. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut where he served as deacon. He was the second Mayor to serve the City of Valley, a position he held for 12 years. He was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell and also was a former Chambers County Commissioner.
