Bobby Johnson passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on June 15, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born to parents the late Willie Johnson and Corrine (Harris) Johnson on January 31, 1956 in Easton, PA.
He graduated from Freedom High School in 1975 as a predominate scholar athlete. After graduation he went on to start a lightweight boxing career lasting from 1979 through 1996. His career ended with 24-8-2 win record which included 7 knockout wins. Boxing took him all over the world from Atlantic City, NJ to the Netherlands. Which eventually landed him into the Lehigh and Northampton County Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015. For the last 28 years Bobby was working for A J Trunzo, Inc.
Survivors: Bobby will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Corrine Johnson; daughters, Iris Nichole West of Bensalem, and Autumn Johnson of North Carolina; son, Bobby Johnson of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Donavan and Devon West, and Jadalynn Johnson; sisters, Gerry, Edward Koons of Fountain Hill, Lillian, Luis Torres of Bethlehem; Debra, David O’Neal of Phoenixville, and Rosemary Johnson of Bethlehem; half-sister, Darcel Fredericks of Texas; brothers, Willie Johnson, Jr. of Bethlehem, and Larry Johnson of Bethlehem; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Willie Johnson; sisters, Willene Johnson, and Tresa Johnson.
