Bobby Joe Griffin was born July 28, 1950 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Herman Griffin and Mamie Prince-Taylor. He entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2016 at Lawrence County Baptist Medical Hospital.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and later in life re-dedicated his life to Christ. He was a member of Oakville Missionary Baptist Church and a native of Lawrence County. He was employed with Brackin’s Garage for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by: Mamie Prince-Taylor (mother); Herman Griffin (father); brothers, Robert Taylor, Charles Wayne Griffin, Judge F. Taylor, Hayward Taylor, Larry Joe Griffin, Billy Ray Taylor; sisters, Nadine Mason and Mary Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter, Keleshia Jones (Marius) of Millbrook, AL; four grandchildren: Akayshia Barbee, Maurian Barbee, Imari Jones, and McKynzie Chatman; two great grandchildren, Kaden and Kai Patterson; four sisters: Sheila Boyd (Garcia) of Decatur, AL; Sharon Taylor of Moulton, AL; Charlotte Brackin (Del Ray) of Trinity, Al, Roberta Shephard (Clifton) of Oakville, AL; three brothers: Frank Griffin (Mary), Nathan Taylor, and Gary Taylor, Moulton, AL;, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
