Bobby Gene Sexton, born in Virginia on October 9th, 1937, passed away on Thursday June 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He had many careers in his life, but his most prominent one was truck driving. He loved fishing, John Wayne, and old westerns. He laid his roots in Mobile, AL with his wife and four children.
Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his father, Milford Sexton; his mother Mary Sexton; his sister Shirley Santini; and his sister Marilyn Goff. He is survived by his wife, Julia Sexton; three daughters, Frankie Banks, Tammy Alukic, and Peggy (Daniel) Tims; his son Zack Matthews Sr; his granddaughters, Julie Knapp, Amber (Tim) Byrd, Kathy (John) Cooper, Leslie (DJ) Gill, Beverly (Taylor) Gwin; his grandson Dusty Matthews; his great grandchildren; Matthew Banks, Morgan Turberville Miller, Hunter Knapp, Ryan Knapp, Joseph Banks, Bradley Gwin, Easton Byrd, Allie Rae Byrd; his sisters, Dorothy (Elwood) Stringfellow, Brenda (Johnny) Long, and Barbara (S.J.) Tittle. These, and many more friends and relatives mourn his passing. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice Care for seeing him through his final days.
