Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” And so it was with Dr. Bobby Eason Helton. He was the founding pastor for his beloved Northside Baptist Church. Bobby peacefully left this earth on August 24, 2016 while held in the loving embrace of his wife Ruth Williams Helton, with whom he had shared 64 years of love and precious memories.

In addition to his parents, his son James preceded Bobby in death. He was a Godly example to his daughters Angela Smitherman and her husband Larry; Charlotte Robinson and her husband Bryon, also surviving is his daughter-in-law Diana Helton.
