Bobbie Mikel, “The Greens Man” age 87, of Cassopolis, died peacefully, Saturday, February 11, 2017, at his home in the presence of his family.Bobbie was born March 20, 1929 in Wakelee, MI to Elmer and Helen (Williams) Mikel. He married Cindra (Null) Davis on May 11, 1987 in Cassopolis, Michigan.
She survives.Bobbie will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Connie Lego of Marcellus, Larry Mikel of Three Rivers, Timothy Davis of White Pigeon and Jeffrey Davis of Edwardsburg; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, and siblings; Lyle (Rosalie) Mikel, Wanda Mikel, Cleo Mikel, and Ronnie Mikel.Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughters, Michelle Davis and Bernice Mikel; and siblings Wilda Mikel, Richie Mikel, Gordon Mikel, Iva Lesiewicz, and Francis Norton.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, playing cards, and gardening. He was employed at Hayden Hardware from 1950-2014. He was a member of the Conservation Club, the Snowmobile Club, the Michigan Vintage Racers Association, Newton Woods Association, and Diamond Cove Missionary Church. He will be remembered as a man who helped EVERYONE.
